FASHION APPAREL DESIGN PROGRAM

It is your goal to become a fashion designer? If yes, FIF`s Fashion Apparel Design Program is right for you.

This 1196-clock hours program covers courses on each of the fashion design disciplines, including Adobe Illustration for Fashion, 3D Design, Draping, Textiles and Textiles Design, Garment Construction, Pattern Making, Fashion Business and Marketing, Garment Production, Fashion Collection, History of Fashion Trends, plus internship hours to provide students with the foundation they need to develop a career in the industry. The students will complete the program by making a three-look collection of their design at the end of the program for the runway fashion show at the graduation ceremony.

How long is your Fashion Apparel Design Program?

Option 1: For one year (12 months full-time), students must attend class Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am -4:30 pm to complete 24 hours per week.

Option 2: Two years (24 months part-time), students must attend class Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm -9:00 pm to complete 12 hours per week.

As a student, you will gain exclusive access to fashion-related events and activities, including student invitations from the prestigious Fashion Group International South FL and tours to garment factories and industry trade shows in vibrant Miami. You'll also enjoy discounts at fabric stores, a comprehensive database of resources for starting your own clothing line, and numerous other opportunities designed to propel your success in the fashion industry.

Our classes are intentionally small and hands-on, held at our facility in the heart of North Miami, FL's art district/downtown, right in front of the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art). This setup ensures you get the practical, real-world experience you need to excel in the fashion industry.

Free parking is available for all students. FIF's Fashion Apparel Design Program is licensed and overseen by the Florida Department of Education, CIE.
