About The Fashion Institute of South Florida
The Fashion Institute of South Florida is a vocational fashion school that was conceived to bring the opportunity to creative individuals who are interested in launching a career in the fashion industry, without the high cost of traditional fashion colleges.
The Fashion Institute of South Florida was founded upon the belief that quality fashion design education should be available to all students with the desire to learn the art and craft of fashion design. We also believe that quality instruction should be made available at an affordable price to aspiring design students. We take pride in teaching with love and patience in order to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn in our small class environment.
AnaLauren Pamintuan was born in the Philippines, raised in LA, and resides in Miami, Florida. As a budding newcomer to the fashion industry, she has been honing her skills from a very young age, following in the footsteps of her late grandmother Lorenza, who was a dressmaker and businesswoman in the Philippines. It is of utmost importance to AnaLauren that her collection of womenswear is a reflection of women’s empowerment, strength, freedom, sensuality, and vibrancy.
Most recently, her “Live Out Loud” and “Zen Tropics” collections extended her the opportunity to showcase a new line of work for NYFW FW19. Honored to have been blessed with her God-given gifts, AnaLauren is articulate with her vision, passionate about her process, meticulous in her design, and tenacious in her execution. One of her favorite quotes comes from Erma Bombeck: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left
FDLA — What has become the signature multicultural fashion event of New York City, FDLA founded its development on providing exposure for established, emerging and upcoming clothing designers from around the world in an effort to extend meaningful fashion trade. Accomplishing this has been an undertaking in nurturing opportunities for the publicity of international talents whose creative abilities are overflowing but financial resources are not. FDLA prides itself on continuing its work throughout the year to build bridges engaging community inclusion by leading events, social activities and diversity initiatives.
