Our Fashion Program Alumni will Show Her Debut Collection at NYFW!

Today, The Fashion Institute of South Florida is proud to announce that one of its recent graduates will show her collection at NYFW this February in NYC.

AnaLauren Pamintuan is the winner of the Graduation Fashion Show this past November and was awarded a spot on the FDLA (Fashion Designers of Latin America) platform plus a gift certificate from Rex Fabrics in Miami.

She will be showcasing a 12-piece collection during New York Fashion Week. She competed with her classmates, and her collection was selected by a panel of fashion industry authorities including Ms. Albania Rosario, CEO of NYFW Fashion Designers of Latin America and Ms. Marina Nuñez, former Fashion Institute of Technology instructor and CEO of Marinez, along with other local fashion industry icons.

Since graduation night, winner AnaLauren has been diligently designing her new collection. She has been working on patterns, choosing fabrics and sewing under the supervision of the instructors of The Fashion Institute of South Florida. She will also be featuring a beautiful closing piece made with fabric from our official school sponsor, Rex Fabrics.

The event will be held in New York on the evening of February 12th, 2019 and she will be sharing the runway with world renowned designers like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada among others.

About AnaLauren Pamituan

AnaLauren Pamintuan was born in the Philippines, raised in LA, and resides in Miami, Florida. As a budding newcomer to the fashion industry, she has been honing her skills from a very young age, following in the footsteps of her late grandmother Lorenza, who was a dressmaker and businesswoman in the Philippines. It is of utmost importance to AnaLauren that her collection of womenswear is a reflection of women’s empowerment, strength, freedom, sensuality, and vibrancy.

Most recently, her “Live Out Loud” and “Zen Tropics” collections extended her the opportunity to showcase a new line of work for NYFW FW19. Honored to have been blessed with her God-given gifts, AnaLauren is articulate with her vision, passionate about her process, meticulous in her design, and tenacious in her execution. One of her favorite quotes comes from Erma Bombeck: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say “I used everything you gave me.”For more information, visit her website: AnaLauren.com
